Palinca din Bistrita Nasaud
Is a Romanian brand, built by the Galben family in Ilva-Mică, jud Bistrița-Năsăud, through three generations of distillers. The area has a big tradition in the production of palinka. The family business was set off in 1947, by Ilie Galben, the grandfather of the family. We, the grandchildren have inherited the copper alembic bought from Vienna and we brought the distillery to life. The design of the bottles is inspired by the local tradition: they are individually handpainted, using a stylished peacock tail. We paint a girdle, which is inspired by the traditional attire of the people from the region. The bottles are sealed with natural honey wax.
