Royal cookbooks. 200 tried recipes for meals, cakes and other types of housework by Mihail Kogalniceanu, Kostache Negruzzi, Paideia Publishing House - A first reference point in culinary art and in the Romanian publishing space, the book brought together recipes and household guidance, chosen by Mihail Kogalniceanu and Kostache Negruzzi.

The first cookbook written in Romanian appeared in Iasi, in 1841, under the title 200 recipes researched by dishes, cakes and other household dishes, and was signed, under the protection of anonymity, by K.N. and M.K. Subsequently, it will be discovered that the authors are well-known writers and politicians, K(ostache) N(egruzzi) and M(ihail) K (ogalniceanu).

Besides the tasty recipes and, of course, its prestigious authors, the novelness of this book lies in the fact that, for the first time in the Romanian publishing space, a "vocabulary" of culinary art is realized. Thus "from their recipes – we do not try to establish how many (and which) come from traditional local cuisine and how many (and which) from the applied attendance of specialized works, with German and French predilection – can come out a rather generous list of specific terms: aluat, alivenci, anghenari, astariu, buciume, consome, calup, canela, drojdii, doba, friganele, fas, festic, felegean, glas, gugoase, grisa, hamut, halva, imbiri, invartita, inghetată, jambon, mandel cuhen, milharod, meridon, mustariu, nucusoara, nesaste, orjada, pasteta, parjoale, posmagi, papiloturi, rahat, salce, saleamuri, sos, slifca, sucitoriu, scoarta, sufle, supa, sofran, trahana, teasc, tocmagi, visinap, zalatina and others too, each with his haggling, exhausting several times the letters of the alphabet, be it Cyrillic or Latin."

Formed 70 X 143 mm and 120 de pages.
