Armillaria mellea is an edible and tasty fungus. The variety is called in the people ring-ringed geba, autumnal geba, halimas, honey claws, or only short: geba. Regional names are also held: opintics or popenchi/popinci (autumn). This sponge is a species saprofita, but primarily parasitic that grows in large numbers, in bushes with many specimens, on tree trunks, in deciduous forests, but especially in those of conifers on spruce. The species develops from September to November (December).
