Our connection with Saschiz began in 2006 when I first realized jams. But the global financial crisis prompted us to seek solutions and sustainable trade but also economic benefits to the local community. Therefore Saschiz was the ideal place to develop Transylvania Food Company, the entire process was completed in 2010. orchard and forest fruits and vegetables from the area have a remarkable taste and flavor - as they had before the intensification of agriculture in the years' 50.
The traditional method of food preservation winter in Saschiz is keeping the cellar and, despite their refrigerators and freezers, most households still use cellars for this purpose. Ms. Schaaser, a neighbor sas, always inspired us with basement and its culinary recipes, which helped us to understand the amazing taste and flavor of local ingredients. Tomato juice made by Ms Schaaser house gained fame and represents the culmination of any visit in her yard and basement.
